On the 14th of February 2022 a seminar on stereotypes and discrimination was held in Kaunas at the Vytautas Magnus University.
The seminar was devoted to the analysis of how stereotypes can provide the cultural preconditions for legal discrimination. In particular, we discussed on the case of Lithuanian Jews and on how 19th Century’s stereotypes about Jews created the basis for increasing legal discrimination in the Interwar period.
